A Big Weekend Of Bowls

An exciting weekend of bowls worthy of the Zone Champ of Champions was held at North Mackay Bowls Club (Goosies)

First games on Saturday were the Men’s Pairs. Airlie Beach (Luke Kinnear & Manny Isgro) vs Clermont (Tony Armstrong & Joseph Aidulis) Airlie Beach took out the win 30:11

Women’s Pairs was live streamed between South Suburban (Lorna Coad & Florence Keft) vs Emerald (Jacinta Stefaniuk & Bec Pullen) South Suburban took out the win 20:10

Men’s Singles - Longreach vs Northern Beaches. Dan Cookson from Longreach took out the win from Paul Foot (Northern Beaches) 26:21

Saturday Afternoon saw the Mixed Pairs between West Tigers (Julie Leach & Ron Warnes) vs Emerald (Bec Pullen & Greg Pullen) Emerald took out the win 26:14

Men’s Fours - North Mackay (Shane Trannore, Alan Cooney, Mick Walsh & Dave McKendry) vs Clermont (Joe Aidulis, Tony Armstrong, Aaron Storer, Jamie Anderson) North Mackay took out the win 19:15

Sunday Morning - Ladies Singles. Mackay City (Emma Pash) vs Emerald (Bec Pullen) A very competitive & Exciting game to finish off the Zone Champ of Champions with Emma Pash taking the win 25:18

All winners will be back to North Mackay Bowls Club (Goosies) for the State Champ of Champions in November
