The Whitsundays Writers Festival has officially sold out, but there is still a chance for the whole community to join the final chapter.
Book lovers will gather in Cannonvale this Sunday for the sold-out 2026 Whitsundays Writers Festival, celebrating a full day of stories, ideas and local creativity.
But those without a ticket have not missed out entirely. From 3pm, the festival will open its free waterfront finale, Stories by the Sea, at the Whitsunday Marine Club.
With more than 20 regional authors, live readings, music, children’s activities, book swaps and artists creating works before the crowd, there will be something for readers and families alike.
