Wednesday’s competition at Bowen Golf Club was a single stableford event sponsored by the Club with Ladies’ winner Grace Nott.
Ms Nott tallied an impressive 35 points, while runner up on a countback was Elona Lynch close behind, 34 points.
Pin shots to Leanne Swan, Grace Nott, Joy Hose, Donna Wright, and Michelle Campbell, who also had a OBP.
Men’s winner on a countback was Doug Power 40 points, runner up Walter Maguire, 40 as well.
Saturday’s competition was a 4BBB stableford event for the Easter Turkeys with winners on a countback Robyn Newell and Jo Kukura - both 45 points – and the runners up managed the same tally: David Carus and Ben Bon, 45 points.
Pin shots to Robyn Slade, Lisa Raisbeck, Bev Lowcock, Judy Atkins, Russell Smith, Jumbo Miller, and John Courtney.
Simon Ormes from Townsville won the Car wash voucher.
This weekend’s competition at Bowen Golf Club is a split round again - both competitions are 4BBB stroke events for double match play qualifiers. Men play on Saturday and Ladies on Sunday, and both competitions are sponsored by Bowen Byte-Wise IT Solutions.
