CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP FOURS FINALISED

On Saturday morning under blue skies, the second semifinal of this year's Club Championship Fours was played.  Mark Holmes, Gavin Noonan, Shane Kinnear and Michael Kinnear defeated Kendal Watts, Dale Haack, David Ling and Andrew Bell 26-18.

The final was played on Saturday afternoon.  Harry Craig, Marcus Craig, Toby Craig and Nathan Harriott defeated Mark Holmes, Gavin Noonan, Shane Kinnear and Michael Kinnear in a 19-10 effort. Nathan Harriott's team goes on to play in the District Champion of Champions that’s held at North Mackay on August 1 and 2.

Saturday also saw the second semi-final of the Club B singles play. Todd Leys showed his experience to defeat Jonathan Levett 27 - 1.  The final is now set with David Ling to play Todd Leys.

The club competition for Saturday, July 18, is the semi-finals and finals of the pairs. The semi-finals are to begin at 9.30am, where Barry Saroglia and Gavin Milne will take on David Ling and Andrew Bell. On the other side of the table, Shane Kinnear and Michael Kinnear versus Jonathan Bye and Nathan Harriott, all vying for a spot in the finals, which is a 1.30pm start.

There were no social bowls on Wednesday due to overnight rain on Tuesday.

On Sunday afternoon John Anderson, Dave Wilson (visitor from Victoria) and Mike Harrison defeated Alen Sanderson, Philip Brown and Trevor Parsons 22 - 17. Bruce Uhe and Sandy Daffara also defeated Graham Thropp and Heather Brown 19 - 13.
