For Teresa Jenkins, owner and Registered Nurse behind Reach Mobile Nurse Consultant, nursing is about more than clinical care.  It is about listening, building trust, and ensuring people feel supported – particularly when accessing health care is difficult. 

Proudly serving the Pioneer Valley, Mackay and surrounding rural communities, Reach Nurse brings professional and experienced nursing care closer to home.  Teresa understands that travelling into town, waiting at busy clinics or arranging transport can be challenging for older residents, people living with disability, busy families and those managing ongoing health conditions.

With 14 years’ experience in primary health and as a standalone independent Registered Nurse, Reach offers a range of personalised services, including blood tests, wound care, chronic disease management, observations, incontinence assessments, ear syringing, 24hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure monitoring and much more whilst collaborating with your regular GP.  Reach also offers nonclinical care. 

Teresa also consults locally on Tuesdays at the Finch Hatton Hub. Led by Leah Stevenson, the Hub is a Progress Village initiative developed to support the Pioneer Valley community by bringing health and other services closer to home. This welcoming local space provides residents with convenient access to Teresa’s nursing support without the need to travel into Mackay.
