Turning creativity into a way of giving back takes talent and care, something the lovely ladies of Proserpine Community Chat & Patch Club know all about.
The group has lovingly hand-crafted and donated a stunning quilt to support a local breast cancer awareness event, demonstrating how their talents extend beyond the sewing room and into the wider community.
The beautiful quilt will be one of several raffle prizes at a yoga event hosted by a local Counselling and Wellness Practice this Sunday at Coral Sea Resort Jetty, raising awareness and much-needed funds for the Think Pink Foundation.
Raffle tickets will be available for $5 each or three for $10, with all proceeds going towards the foundation.
“Thank you very much, ladies, for supporting our event and The Think Pink Foundation,” said organiser Anna Mackenzie.
Community members are invited to join the morning of yoga and connection, with attendees encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness.
The event begins with arrivals from 8am, followed by an 8.30am start and wrapping up at 9.30am with the raffle.
If quilting is more your style, Proserpine Community Chat & Patch Club meets every Tuesday at the Proserpine Community Centre, welcoming anyone keen to enjoy some creative time, learn new skills or simply connect with others.
