Young dancers are preparing to take the stage in November, with three upcoming productions showcasing months of practice and celebrating five years of the Edge dance studio.
The youngest performers, aged 18 months to six years, will kick things off with the Ready Set Dancers show at the Proserpine Entertainment Centre on Thursday 1st November.
“That’s a whole lot of cuteness,” said studio owner Emma Whybird.
Older students will then follow that performance with their Celebrate show on 14th and 15th November, as a mark of the studio's fifth anniversary.
The dancing fever will then move to Bowen’s McKenna Hall on Saturday 28th November, featuring students aged two to 18.
Audiences will see a mix of different dances, from ballet, jazz, tap and acro to musical theatre, modern and hip hop, alongside acting and singing.
The shows come as a culmination of the 300 students' persistent preparation since March.
“This is our big one for the year,” Emma said.
“For many of the kids, it’s their first time on stage, so it’s really exciting for them.
“It will be lots of high energy, and loads of fun.”
Tickets for the Proserpine shows are available through the Proserpine Entertainment Centre, while Bowen tickets will go on sale through the studio’s Facebook page.
