Another stroke event! The weather was ideal for the September Monthly Medal and the scores certainly showed it.

Congratulations to our two popular winners, Robyn Whitham in the ladies and Colin Hounsell in the men.

Robyn won with 69 nett, just ahead of Paula McQuat on 70. The rundown went to Elspeth Scotford with 72, followed by Jenny Hounsell and Elaine Philpott, both on 77.

Colin won the men’s event with an excellent 66 nett, with Steve Stewart runner-up on 69. The rundown went to Allen Roberts and Larry Muller on 70; Gary Scotford, Don Hope and Harro on 72; Craig McLean on 73; Gerald Lovell on 74; and Barry Mortimer on 75.

Ladies’ pin shots went to Lyn Muller and Elspeth Scotford twice in A Grade, and Tiina Randmae, Paula McQuat and Jacqui Wall in B Grade.

The men’s pin shots went to Craig McLean twice, both ITH, and Gary Scotford in A Grade. Louis Neethling twice and Don Hope collected the B Grade pins.

Tiina Randmae had the least putts for the ladies with 30, while Craig McLean led the men with 26.

Chip-ins went to Robyn Whitham, Heather Luvis, Craig McLean, Colin Hounsell, Steve Stewart and Larry Muller.

Heather Luvis and Peter Fox each collected a NAGA ball. Heather also won the membership draw, while Harro won the raffle.

Coming up is the Croker Shield at Proserpine on 8 September, followed by Stableford on 15 September.
