Two Men Seriously Injured in Foxdale Rollover

On the 9th October two men in their 70s were left in life-threatening conditions after a Toyota four-wheel drive rolled onto its roof on a railway line at Foxdale in the Whitsundays.

‍

Emergency crews were called to the single-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway about 1.15pm, with both men trapped inside.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting tools to free one man at 2.08pm and continued working to release the second.

‍

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said one man was taken by road to Proserpine Hospital ahead of a planned airlift, while the other was flown to Mackay Hospital. Two helicopters were called to the scene.

At time of print there has still been no update on the state of the two men.
