A successful two-month pop-up knitting and crochet group has seen U3A Mackay members come together to produce 810 squares for the Wrap With Love charity.
The group met on Thursdays at CQUniversity, with members spending their time knitting, crocheting, chatting, laughing and learning along the way.
The completed squares have been sent to Wrap With Love, where they will be stitched together into wraps and distributed throughout Australia and overseas to people in need.
All wool used for the project was generously donated by U3A members, with many others also contributing by knitting and crocheting from home.
Originally introduced as a short-term pop-up activity, the group proved to be a popular success, with organisers indicating it may return next year.
