Things have quietened down at Wangaratta this week, with our visitors departing and the final Monday self-selected triples and Fun Thursday games for the year now played.
On Tuesday, Sue Shearing, Gavin Charles and David Waine defeated Lindy Suann, Lorraine Knight and Phil Walls. In the other game, Stumpy Adams, Skinny Querro and Shirley Smith defeated Sharyn Cadman, James Wright, Graham Smith and Deb Retchless. The jackpot did not go off.
In the Ladies Triples competition, Teresa Willshire, Denise Wallace and Penny Warren won a close game against Sue Shearing, Robyn Stitt and Fely Duncan.
Sunday afternoon’s winners were Graham Smith, Gavin Charles and Greg Colquhoun, who defeated Celly Jeal, Alby Vigar and Stuart Jeal. The jackpot again stayed put. Thank you to Pat for putting on a wonderful afternoon tea to celebrate Father’s Day.
Congratulations to Denise Wallace, Penny Warren and Lyn Emery, who won the Mackay South Suburban Prestige Triples after an outstanding five wins from five matches.
Names have now been placed on the board for members wishing to play in the Country Pennant at Wangaratta on 3 October.
