A SAD START TO THE WHALE SEASON

A 12 Metre Sperm Whale Washes Up At Cape Gloucester Local fishers made a grim discovery last weekend when they witnessed the brutal side of nature; several tiger sharks eating the carcass of a sperm whale at Cape Gloucester. It is believed that the whale became stranded on a sandbank and by the time rangers arrived the following morning, it had died. A large crocodile was also seen nearby and rangers were unable to move the carcass, but tissue samples have been taken for scientific analysis.
