Airlie Beach-based ABC Distillery is celebrating a major win on the national stage after taking home two Gold Awards and a Silver at the 2026 Australian Distilled Spirit Awards in Melbourne.
The local distillery was recognised for all three products it entered in the competition, with its Single Malt Redgum Smoked Whiskey and Whiskey Barrel Aged Rum both awarded Gold. Its Hibiscus Pink Gin also impressed the judges, taking home a Silver Award.
Owner Sandra Argo travelled to the Australian Distilled Spirit Awards at the Melbourne Showgrounds after being encouraged to attend following a call congratulating the distillery on its strong results.
The recognition comes as another exciting milestone for the local business, which produces a range of spirits including gin, vodka, rum and whiskey.
Sandra said the team was thrilled with the results, particularly after entering just three products in the prestigious awards.
The awards add to a growing list of achievements for the distillery and highlight the quality of locally produced spirits coming out of the region. The distillery produces a selection of handcrafted beverages, with the award-winning Redgum Smoked Whiskey and Whiskey Barrel Aged Rum now boasting national recognition.
