Festival Fundraiser Strikes The Right Chord

The Airlie Beach Festival of Music is set to raise more than just the roof, collecting funds for Proserpine Hospital Auxiliary through this year’s raffle.

‍

Volunteers will be roaming the festival grounds and venues selling tickets, with the lucky raffle winner to be announced in the main tent on Sunday afternoon. The prize? A guitar signed by the 2026 headline acts.

‍

“We’ve always felt it was important to give back to the local community,” shared festival founded Gavin ‘Butto’ Butlin.

“The festival generates $5 million dollars for the Whitsunday region every year, so it’s good to know some of that money is going to people and organisations who are really in need."

‍
A spokesperson from Proserpine Hospital auxiliary shared their gratitude for the festival’s upcoming contribution.

‍

“Fundraising and accepting donations from the Community allows the Proserpine District Hospital Auxiliary to support Whitsunday Health Service and Proserpine Hospital with equipment and other items that help to improve patient comfort and experience,” they said.

‍

“The Auxiliary have a number of wish list requests at present: from additional equipment through to patient comfort items and storage re-design.”

‍

The initiative means the festival is not only a chance for the community to come together to party, but to rally in mateship by supporting a trusted and impactful local cause.
