A thoughtful act of kindness is helping bring a little extra warmth to premature babies and their families at Mackay Base Hospital.
My Hospital Foundation recently expressed their gratitude to the team Mackay Youth Justice Services, for a delivery of hand-knit premature baby beanies.
The cosy hats were knit by a young person in connection to the service as part of their community hours, with help from Indigenous Service Support Officer Jackie T.
“These beautiful handmade gifts have been donated to babies at Mackay Base Hospital and will bring comfort to families during a very special time,” a spokesperson said.
“Acts of kindness like this make a real difference in our community. Thank you for your generosity and support.”
The beanies are a reminder that even small gestures can make a big impact, with the young person's time and effort helping to support local families when they need it most.
