Honey may be shy at first, but beneath her reserved nature is a big personality waiting to emerge.
The three-to-four-year-old cat just wants a peaceful place she can meow home to, where she can regain her confidence and feel safe.
Honey arrived at Bowen Collinsville Pet Rescue from the pound, where renovation work and excessive noise left her in a constant-anxiety filled state. She now needs patient owners willing to give her the space and time to settle in on her own terms.
Once comfortable, Honey enjoys staying close to her people and can become quite talkative, particularly at night when she finds a secure spot to curl up and let her purrs be heard.
Honey prefers her own space, rather than being around other cats and dogs, feeling more at ease as the only pet at home. While she is gentle around children, she is more likely to keep to herself.
