Held on Saturday 2nd May, the James Bond-inspired evening welcomed 373 guests to the MECC for a night of entertainment, glamour and generosity, with funds split evenly between The Salvation Army’s Family Violence Service and The Neighbourhood Hub’s Food Diversion Program. Each organisation received $33,652.69. Mayor Greg Williamson said the long-running event continues to deliver significant support to local organisations doing important work in the community. “The Mayor’s Charity Ball has been going since 2013, and during that time we’ve raised over a million dollars,” he said. “Over $67,000 was raised in that one night at the 2026 Mayor’s Charity Ball.” “This is one of the biggest ones we’ve had for quite some time, and it exceeded last year by about $10,000.” “The Mackay community really gets behind things like this, even in economically challenging times.” “We would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended, donated and supported the event.” Sponsors were formally acknowledged at the morning tea, where they received certificates of appreciation for their support. 2026 Mayor’s Charity Ball Sponsors Included: Platinum: Fergus Builders, Daly Bay, BMA, Mickala Group Gold: Pentacon, Summit, Oral Health & Beyond Collective Silver: CQ Soil Testing, NQ Bulk Ports Media Partners: Mackay and Whitsunday Life, 7 News Mackay, Hit 100.3 and Triple M, Bishopp Outdoor Advertising, Tropical Exposure In-Kind Sponsors: Signarama, Harvey Norman Mackay, Fitness Cartel Mackay, Splash Pool Care, Greg Neill & Son Fine Jewellers, Guzman y Gomez Mt Pleasant The 2026 Mayor’s Charity Ball has raised $67,305.38 for local charities, with funds split evenly between The Salvation Army’s Family Violence Service and The Neighbourhood Hub’s Food Diversion Program. Mackay Woman Praised For Highway Kindness After Family’s Tyre Blowout

May 28, 2026

Mackay Woman Praised For Highway Kindness After Family’s Tyre Blowout A frightening moment on the highway has become a heartwarming reminder of community kindness after a Mackay woman stopped to help a family stranded on the side of the road over the weekend. Travelling to Bowen with a car full of goods and their baby on board, the family experienced a tyre blowout at highway speed, describing the ordeal as a terrifying experience. They later shared their gratitude to Kim from Mackay Animal Rescue online, who stopped to check on them and offered support and assistance during the stressful situation. “Thank you for stopping — not only to check if we were okay, but also for offering endless help and support,” the family shared. “Your kindness meant so much to our family, and we are incredibly grateful.” The family said the experience was a reminder of the compassion that exists within regional communities and the importance of helping others when they need it most. “Moments like this remind us how beautiful our community really is,” they said. “I always remember the saying: ‘Someone once helped me, so now I will help others too.’ Let’s keep passing this spirit on.” Blown Out Flat Tire On Automobile Stock Photo 2647999817 | Shutterstock CAPTION: A Mackay family has thanked Kim from Mackay Animal Rescue after she stopped to help following a frightening tyre blowout on the highway near Bowen. “Somebody Please Do Something” Resident Pleads For Action Over Goorganga Plains Safety Concerns

May 27, 2026

Long-awaited flood-immunity works proposed for Goorganga Plains near Proserpine are continuing to progress following years of flooding and highway closures along the notoriously flood-prone stretch of the Bruce Highway, however some residents say concerns remain about road safety through the area in its current condition. The proposed Goorganga Plains Floodplain Upgrade forms part of broader Bruce Highway resilience planning aimed at improving flood immunity, reducing closures and strengthening one of Queensland’s most important freight and transport corridors. The area has long been regarded as one of the Whitsundays region’s most flood-affected sections of highway, regularly becoming impassable during major weather events and cutting access between Mackay and the Whitsundays. However, local resident Denise Hadley said she believes the current road conditions are extremely dangerous and claims repeated attempts to raise concerns with authorities continue to go unanswered. “I’m gobsmacked. It’s infuriating, it’s disappointing, and I feel like it’s going to take somebody getting incredibly hurt for someone to listen,” she said. Ms Hadley explained she had contacted the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) almost daily regarding concerns surrounding the road conditions but claimed she had received little acknowledgement in response. “It’s really not good enough. You’re [TMR] supposed to make that road safe for everybody,” she said. Ms Hadley has also contacted the Queensland Transport Minister’s office multiple times and had attempted to escalate the matter further through other government offices. “I don’t know what has to happen for someone to take this seriously,” she said. Ms Hadley claimed the road surface was rough and said reduced speed limits and temporary line markings through the area had heightened her concerns. “It’s disheartening,” she said. Despite her frustrations, Ms Hadley said she intended to continue pushing for action. “I will continue to call, and I will continue to be the squeaky wheel,” she said. “I just want all of those departments to be very aware — and I’ve written this in emails — that if somebody gets hurt out there, it’s on you. You have been made fully aware that there’s something wrong with this road.” Since first raising her concerns publicly on social media in May 2025, Ms Hadley continues to plead with authorities to investigate the stretch of highway, and has continuously echoed, she will keep campaigning until action is taken. According to publicly available project information, the proposed floodplain upgrade is intended to improve safety, flood resilience and freight reliability along the Bruce Highway corridor. Life Publishing Group has contacted the Department of Transport and Main Roads for comment regarding the concerns raised by residents surrounding the Goorganga Plains section of the Bruce Highway, with further coverage to follow next week pending a response from the department.

WARRI CUP - TAKE 2

May 27, 2026

What a fantastic day out on the water for the second running of the Abell Point Yacht Club’s iconic Warri Cup Yacht Race in Airlie Beach last Sunday. The day broke bright and sunny with a perfect forecast top of 24 degrees and unlike the first attempt back in April, Sunday’s conditions were absolutely glorious. SSE winds of around 13–17 knots throughout the day created ideal racing conditions and the fleet certainly made the most of it. The boats got away cleanly through the start line in their 3 divisions before flying across towards Langford Reef, rounding the island and making their way back home in some spectacular sailing conditions. Division 1 Multihulls - First over the line was Fangarang, followed closely by Barefoot and G’Nome. On corrected time however, Trojan claimed the win, followed by G’Nome and Fangarang. Division 2 Mono’s with Spinnakers - Reignition came flying over the line with Smooth Criminal hot on their tail, followed by Treasure VIII. Corrected time honours went to Dragonfly, Treasure VIII and Keep on Running. Division 3 Monohulls non spinnakers - Major sponsor Peter Harrison of Quadrant Marine aboard his Fast 42 Awesome, was first back in with Fordplay right behind and Team Matchless following, but on corrected time the winners were Alwyn, Fordplay and Awesome. With blue skies, steady breeze and an outstanding fleet on the water, the Warri Cup well and truly delivered on its second attempt, showcasing not only some fantastic racing but also the wonderful camaraderie and spirit of the local sailing community. The Abell Point Yacht Club now looks forward to building on the success of this year’s event and welcoming everyone back again in 2027. Airlie Beach Bowls Weekly News

May 27, 2026

Another huge week in paradise at our little bowls club, with Tuesday afternoon bowls seeing much excitement as Ladies’, Men’s A, B and Senior Singles moved into the last four, and all pairs, triples and fours nearing completion. Wednesday afternoon saw 20 bowlers vying for the winner’s prize, with two games of triples and two games of pairs. The biggest winning margin went to skipper Arthur McManus, with second Glen O’Brien and lead, new bowler Alma Rose Mawson, all playing like a team with outstanding results and an 11-point winning margin. Great effort. Wednesday night saw Business House bowls, brilliantly run by Bobby Spees and his wife Yvonne, a very special couple. Ten teams occupied five rinks, and once again, although in a new team, Cathy Russell leading Clearwater Catering achieved a brilliant win and remains unbeaten. All games were close, and everyone enjoyed the chicken burgers at the finish. Friday afternoon saw Christian College students thoroughly enjoying and improving their bowling skills, especially Elliana Langshore and Miranda Jackson. Although only in Year 8, they are showing fantastic potential. We will have exciting playoffs to determine who will represent the Whitsundays in the upcoming Queensland Schools Tournament. Division 1 and Division 4 played at home on Saturday, with Manny Isgro’s team winning 21–13, Joan McGrath’s team winning 21–13 also, and John Fielding’s team winning 29–17, giving Airlie a 71–43 victory against a very strong side and last season’s champions, Northern Beaches. Luke Kinnear, Andrew Butler, and Alan Pershouse all deserve special mention. The Division 4 team, led by skipper Des Ballance, with superb teamwork, won 25–16. However, David Dias and his team lost 9–30 to North Mackay. Division 2 lost to Mackay City, with Carol Crosbie’s team winning 24–20. Sunday pennants saw Division 1 away at Sarina Bowls Club, with John Fielding’s 21–20 win being the only winning rink. Division 2 against West Tigers lost, with only Ladda Purdie’s team drawing 17 all. West Tigers also played Division 4, and once again Des Ballance and his team were convincing winners 30–13, while David Dias’s team went down 20–19 in a last-bowl thriller. Division 4 is still leading the overall standings. This week’s photo shows the victorious Division 4 team, pictured from left: Tony Kelly, Sue Dakin, selector Warren Mills, Alma Rose Mawson, Mark Mawson, and David Dias proudly displaying the scoreboard. Whitsundays Fire on All Cylinders in Dominant Weekend of Football

May 27, 2026

Whitsunday United FC teams enjoyed a dominant weekend across the grades, highlighted by emphatic wins and standout individual performances. The Under-13 Premier side defeated Dolphins FC 5-2 after racing to a 3-0 halftime lead. Addie Sanders scored twice from Finlay Moss corners before Connor Miller added a long-range strike. Dolphins fought back in the second half, but Jack Reynolds restored the margin from another Moss assist, while Tommie Spratt sealed the result with a brilliant top-corner finish. The U14/15 Division 1 side produced a stunning 10-0 win against Mackay Lions, led by Sam Hazelton’s four-goal haul, including a first-half hat-trick. Sam Crosby also bagged three goals, with Jackson Paroz and Rio Burkitt also adding to the total. Whitsunday Women showed plenty of resilience despite a 3-0 loss to Magpies FC. Strong defensive work kept the opposition scoreless until late in the first half, with Lahni Henderson, Hayley, Deb and Nicole all impressing. The Under-23s overwhelmed Dolphins FC 5-0. Aaron Kinsella scored a hat-trick, supported by goals from Arman Sabzgolin and Karim Bouhafa, while the side maintained control despite playing much of the match with 10 men following a red card to debutant Cian Gilson. Premier Men also claimed a solid 8-2 victory over Dolphins FC. Ethan Rose scored a hat-trick, while Thomas Farnsworth netted twice after Whitsundays recovered strongly from an early red card. Goals from Ben Smith and Max O’Keefe sealed the win. Whitsunday Brahmans Report

May 27, 2026

The Whitsunday Brahmans faced off against the South Sharks at Whitsunday Sports Park in what turned into another massive day of rugby league, with thousands packing the grounds to create the ultimate Sunday footy atmosphere. The Under 20s kicked the day off early and continued their impressive form with a strong 22-10 victory over the Sharks. Somè Wolf was electric through the middle, crossing for a hat-trick in one of his best performances of the season so far, while fullback and rising star Levi Deveigne added another meat pie of his own. The women were next to take the field in the tough midday heat against a strong, experienced and resilient Sharks outfit. From the opening whistle the Sharks showed why they are one of the competition’s benchmark sides, but the Brahmans women never stopped competing. Shirley Luke crossed for the Brahmans’ lone try in what proved to be their toughest game of the season so far, with the final score finishing 49-6. Despite the result, the girls showed exactly what the club culture is built on — resilience, pride and heart. Reserve Grade then delivered one of the games of the day in a high-energy clash against a ferocious Sharks side. The match was a try-for-try battle throughout the opening stages, with neither side willing to give an inch. Crowd favourite Trent Pikinga put on an absolute show, crossing for a hat-trick as the Brahmans attack began to fire. It wasn’t until the second half that the Brahmans managed to break away, taking control of the game and leaving the Sharks chasing points. The Brahmans eventually ran out 40-26 winners in another statement performance from the side. In A Grade, the Brahmans faced their toughest challenge yet against last year’s premiers, Ben Barba’s Sharks side, who travelled down to the Whitsundays ready for a battle. Despite battling until the final minute, the Brahmans ultimately suffered one of their biggest losses of the season, going down 40-8 after coming into the clash off two straight wins. Coach Bateup said the game highlighted just how tough the competition is this season and believes the loss will only motivate the group further. “It shows just how tough this competition really is,” Bateup said. “We know what we need to work on and we’ll come back harder than ever. The boys are heading into the bye rounds now, so we’ve got two weeks to reset, improve and build from this performance.” At the end of the day it finished with two wins and two losses for the Brahmans across the grades, capping off what was an incredible afternoon of rugby league at Whitsunday Sports Park. While Reserve Grade and A Grade head into a bye this weekend, footy continues at home for the club this Saturday. The Women’s side will face the Mackay Brothers, while the Under 20s take on the Norths Devils. The Whitsunday Brahmans Under 17s will open the day against the Brothers Bulldogs in another exciting afternoon of local rugby league. Kick-off begins from 3pm this Saturday, May 30, at Les Stagg Oval. Contributed with thanks to Whitsunday Brahmans Photo supplied

SEVENTY-FIVE YEARS LATER STILL FIRING ON

May 27, 2026

Today, we benefit from first-class emergency services such as fire and rescue - services that are easy to take for granted. Earlier last century, however, Proserpine residents had much less protection. That began to change seventy-five years ago with the arrival of the town’s first Chief Fire Officer. In the first half of the twentieth century, there were two major fires in Proserpine’s Main Street. The first occurred in February 1928 in Mrs Deicke’s shops with almost all buildings being gutted. A bucket brigade with water from tanks from adjoining businesses, and hoses from the Palace Hotel and Proserpine Butchery Co prevented further damage. In the 1940s, Proserpine still depended on rainwater tanks and wells. Pleas to remove grass and domestic rubbish were ignored. Another disaster was waiting to happen. Prompted by memories of the devastating 1928 fire, a public meeting was called for the purpose of taking steps to prevent and control fires in the town. However, it was reported that when the formation of a fire brigade was introduced, “nil expressed their willingness to join the voluntary fire brigade.” Eight months later, on July 13, 1946, the Proserpine Fire Brigade held its inaugural meeting with eight community members charged with lobbying government and organising the formation of an official fire brigade. Due to water shortages, their plans to buy a tank and trailer were delayed. The committee recessed and fire prevention rules were introduced. But these were not sufficient to avert another devastating fire. At 1am on October 19, 1949 a second disaster occurred. With no official brigade or reticulated water, about 100 people, some in pyjamas, battled the blaze for two hours using buckets, boilers, basins and tubs. They smashed open rainwater tanks and coupled hoses to windmill tanks before finally bringing the fire under control at 3 am. Almost twelve months after this second calamity, in September 1950, common sense finally prevailed. Council advertised for a part time fire chief and land for a fire station and residence was purchased in Main Street. There was still no reticulated water so an 800-gallon tank mounted on a truck was purchased and supplemented by tanks belonging to local businesses and the Sugar Mill. An alarm siren was to be installed on a 30-foot pole at the CFO’s house. On 1 June 1951, Mr Chris Thieme, Proserpine’s first Chief Fire Officer arrived from Tully. In a short time, seven local auxiliary fire fighters signed up. Uniforms were to be supplied, and firefighters paid for attending fires. That year, the brigade bought its first fire truck, now on display at the Proserpine Historical Museum. A temporary building was erected then three years later, in 1953, approval was granted for a permanent one-storey station in Main Street which was completed in 1954. Proserpine did not gain reticulated water until 1957 when the water tower was finished. The Proserpine Fire Brigade acquired a second truck in 1975 and still operates two vehicles today. The unit is staffed by twenty auxiliary firefighters, with the last permanent firefighter transferring to the Airlie centre in 2004/05. The Proserpine Fire Brigade Board controlled the fire service until June 30, 1990, when the state government took over the running of all fire brigades. With the opening of a station in Airlie Beach in 1986, the board changed its name to the Whitsunday Fire Brigade Board. The Main Street fire station served the district for more than six decades before closing in 2018 when the new Disaster and Emergency Centre opened in Hinschen Street. Burnout: When Your Nervous System Stops Trusting You

May 27, 2026

Burnout is never weakness; it’s a condition of the strongest performers. High performers often believe they can operate at 140% forever. They push harder, take on more, solve every problem, carry everyone, and wear exhaustion like a badge of honour. The conscious mind tells them, “Keep going. We’ve got this.” But the nervous system is quietly keeping score. Burnout happens when a nervous system no longer believes its owner will protect it. It helps to think of burnout as two people living in one body. The first - your conscious mind - driven, capable and highly productive. It loves achievement, pressure and momentum, thrives on ticking boxes, solving crises and outperforming expectations. The second - your nervous system - ancient survival system designed to keep you safe and alive, which regulates stress hormones, sleep, recovery, digestion, emotional balance and energy. Unlike your conscious mind, it cares only about survival - not KPIs, outcomes and lists of achievements. Problems arise when high achievers keep the ‘pedal to the metal’ for a long, long time - never taking their foot off the accelerator long enough for the nervous system to rest and repair. Too much cortisol (stress hormone) builds up for waaaaay too long - eventually, the nervous system stops trusting its human host. At first, it whispers - poor sleep, irritability, waking at 2am with a surge of adrenaline, emotional overwhelm, brain fog and fatigue that rest no longer fixes. When whispers are ignored – it then screams! The nervous system escalates, starts pulling emergency levers, normal daily functions are near impossible, and the body begins forcing the slowdown the mind refuses to choose. It’s a small break before a complete implosion, telling you to stop right now before you can’t reverse it. Don’t let your driven employees arrive at this outcome, balancing on the edge of a precipice. Create honest, authentic check-ins with your high achievers, encourage discussions about emotional well-being, and ensure they take time off – without the phone! Join the Celebration: Community Gallery Opening Date Set

May 27, 2026

Creative Connections Whitsundays (CCW) is inviting the community to celebrate the official opening of the Community Gallery, the first dedicated community art gallery in the Whitsunday region. The Gallery will open at 6pm on Thursday 4th June, featuring works from more than 20 regional artists across painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and contemporary practice. The opening marks the beginning of a new creative chapter for the region, establishing a permanent space for exhibitions, workshops, events, and artistic connection in the heart of Proserpine. As a new cultural hub for the region, CCW's Community Gallery has been created to celebrate local artists and community creativity while providing a welcoming place to showcase local talent, foster connection, and grow the Whitsundays’ cultural life. This represents an important step forward for the region’s creative community, creating a permanent home where artists can be seen, supported, and celebrated year-round. CCW has acknowledged the “generous support” of local sponsors, supporters, volunteers, and community partners whose contributions have helped bring the gallery project to life; naming Whitsunday Regional Council, Member for Whitsunday Amanda Camm, Green Energy Technology, Sunbird Electrical, Filby’s Motors, and Bunnings Warehouse. Creative Column – May 29th

May 27, 2026

I am saddened to announce that this is my last week working as a journalist on-the-ground in the Whitsundays for Life Publishing. Next week I will return home to Melbourne. These decisions are not made easily. I have loved the region for its beauty, and the community has been so gracious and welcoming. This has been a wonderful opportunity that I certainly won’t forget. At certain points in our life we have to make tough decisions that come with a lot of apprehension and doubt but ultimately are important for our wellbeing. I would like to thank my fellow editorial colleagues– Jacob, Victoria, Chelsea and Hannah – all rockstar journalists who inspire me through their work ethic and literary talent. I would like to give praise and thanks to our new editorial team leader – Suzanna McLoughlin who I know is going to do wonderful things for Life Publishing. Thank you to all staff at Life Publishing Group -- Trish, Trisha, Georgia, Taylor, Camilla, Ruandi, Tania, Sherie, Jess, Jack and Marc. Thank you to Bec and Douth for building such a brilliant business that continues to inspire the region. Above all, thank you to Rachael for being an incredible mentor and leader. Although my stint at Life Publishing was not the longest – it is certainly an experience that I will hold close to my heart. This week’s poem is from English literary icon Lord Byron. It is called ‘So We’ll Go No More a Roving.’ Poet’s Corner So We’ll Go No More A Roving by Lord Byron So, we'll go no more a roving So late into the night, Though the heart be still as loving, And the moon be still as bright. For the sword outwears its sheath, And the soul wears out the breast, And the heart must pause to breathe, And love itself have rest. Though the night was made for loving, And the day returns too soon, Yet we'll go no more a roving By the light of the moon.

Show Season Set To Bring Community Spirit To The Whitsundays

May 27, 2026

The Whitsundays’ much-loved show season is nearly here, with Show Whitsunday in Proserpine and the Bowen Show gearing up to deliver two huge weeks of country fun, community spirit and classic show-day excitement. Show Whitsunday returns to the Proserpine Showgrounds on 19th and 20th for its 113th annual event, continuing a tradition that has brought locals together for more than a century. This year’s show promises all the favourites, from livestock judging, equestrian events and woodchopping to baking, arts, crafts and photography displays, alongside the always-popular Side Show Alley, fireworks and live entertainment. The event remains one of the region’s biggest community celebrations and a proud showcase of local industries, particularly sugar cane, with Canegrowers celebrating 100 years in 2026. After months of wet weather, volunteers have already rolled up their sleeves to prepare the grounds, with organisers encouraging locals to get involved and be part of the long-running tradition. Just days later, the Bowen Show will take over on Tuesday, 23rd June, bringing another packed day of rides, arena action, pavilion displays, food and family-friendly entertainment. Bowen Show organisers say the annual event is all about celebrating local talent, agriculture and the strong community spirit that keeps country shows thriving year after year. Residents are encouraged to mark your calendars and support the region’s iconic agricultural shows! For more information, visit showwhitsunday.com.au and bowenshow.com.au. End the Day in Style: The Closing Function at Elementa Whitsundays

May 27, 2026

The Whitsundays Wedding Trail on Sunday 14th June doesn't end when the venues close their doors. For couples who want to make the most of the day, the closing function at Elementa Whitsundays is where things wrap up in the best possible way. Running from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, the event gives Trail participants the chance to slow down, take stock of the day, and continue the conversations that matter — all in one of the Whitsundays' most beautifully positioned venues. Elementa Whitsundays is a full-service wedding property offering ceremony, reception and accommodation in a setting that looks out over Airlie Beach and Whitsunday islands. The closing function is designed to give couples a genuine experience of what Elementa delivers in a hospitality context, and it makes a compelling case. Guests are welcomed with canapés that showcase the range of Elementa's in-house catering. These aren't token finger food - they are a deliberate sample of what the venue can produce for a wedding, giving couples a real sense of the food experience they could offer their own guests. It is the kind of detail that makes a venue visit feel concrete rather than hypothetical. The evening also features a display from 74 Islands, Elementa's onsite boutique distillery. For couples weighing up a venue that offers something beyond the standard, the presence of a working craft distillery on the property is a genuine point of difference. The closing event gives guests the chance to learn more about it firsthand. A cash bar serves cocktails throughout the two hours, and the setting - drinks in hand, the sun dropping over the water - is a fitting close to what is a full and inspiring day. Suppliers who have been present across the Trail will also continue to be available at the function, making it as much an opportunity for ongoing planning conversations as it is a celebration. The closing event ticket is $30 per person, inclusive of all canapés, the 74 Islands display and cash bar access, and can be added at registration via weddingswhitsundays.com/whitsundays-wedding-trail/

Take Off: Win a Helicopter Flight to The Creek Whitsundays

May 27, 2026

There are plenty of reasons to get your tickets for the Whitsundays Wedding Trail. But this one might be the most memorable. Every couple who registers for the Trail is entered into the draw to win a helicopter flight with Airlie Beach Helicopters - and not just any flight. The winner will arrive at The Creek Whitsundays by helicopter on Sunday 14th June, beginning their Trail day in a way that very few wedding planning experiences could ever match. The Creek Whitsundays is one of the Trail's standout venues. A ceremony and reception property, it offers couples a setting that balances the region's natural beauty with the infrastructure required for a polished event. Arriving by helicopter - above the coastline, over the Coral Sea, and down to the venue itself - is a preview of the kind of extraordinary moments the Whitsundays makes possible. For couples dreaming of a wedding that feels genuinely different, it is a hard image to shake. Airlie Beach Helicopters is one of the region's most experienced aerial operators, running scenic and charter flights throughout the Whitsundays for travellers and event guests alike. A helicopter transfer to a wedding venue is one of those details that sets the tone for an entire celebration, and the flight on offer gives the prize winner a first-hand taste of what that experience looks like. The draw is open to all couples who register for the Trail before Sunday 7th June. Registration is free for the self-drive option, with bus loop access at $10 per person and the Elementa closing event at $30 per person. Every registration - regardless of ticket type - qualifies for the prize draw. For couples who have been considering attending, the prize is a timely reason to lock in their place. The Trail itself is already worth a day out: six venues, curated suppliers at every stop, two bus loops, and a sunset closing event overlooking the water. A helicopter arrival is simply the kind of beginning the Whitsundays does best. Register now at weddingswhitsundays.com/whitsundays-wedding-trail/
