Experience gentle yoga in nature at Yoga in the Gardens, held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month at the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens. These free sessions run from 9–10am and are suitable for all ages and experience levels. Led by Anna, the class offers mindful movement, breathing, and relaxation in a peaceful outdoor setting. The Mackay Sub Branch of the RSL, on behalf of Mackay and district citizens, invites the community to the Annual Commemorative Ceremony marking the 82nd anniversary of the 1943 Bakers Creek air crash and the 33rd anniversary of the Bakers Creek Memorial dedication. Held at the Bakers Creek Memorial, this solemn event on Sunday, 8 June 2025, honours the lives lost in one of Australia's worst military air disasters. All are encouraged to attend.
