Brisbane cyclist Rory Fisk dominated the 2026 Mackay Track Open at Walkerston Velodrome on Saturday night, claiming three victories across the senior competition.
Representing the University of Queensland Cycling Club, Fisk won the Senior Wright Family Shield, Invitational Keirin and A Grade scratch race.

31 riders from Mackay, Townsville, Cairns, Rockhampton, Brisbane and Cootamundra in New South Wales contested 24 races for more than $4,500 in prize money and prizes
Fisk claimed the six-lap Senior Wright Family Shield handicap ahead of Mackay and District MTB Club's Max Teague, an Under 17 rider competing against the seniors on junior gears, and Cairns' James Kemp.

He later secured the Invitational Keirin final, finishing ahead of Cairns' Josh Rayner and Mackay's Kiah Dumigan.

The Senior Wright Family Shield recognizes Hamish and Amanda Wright's significant contribution to Mackay cycling. Hamish also competed on the night, finishing second in his handicap heat.
In the Junior Wright Family Shield, Mackay and District MTB Club's Austin Durham won the three-lap handicap ahead of Rockhampton's Jack McHugh and Mackay's Oaklan Marwood. Rockhampton's Lachlan McHugh was named Junior Rider of the Carnival.
