We’ve officially gotten to the time of the year where it’s socially acceptable to get excited for Christmas. With that, Star and Mackay Women’s Services officially launched the 2023 Hamper Drive!
The Hamper Drive will officially run until Friday December 8th, and we are asking businesses, schools and individuals to donate hampers to the Mackay Women's Centre. These can be gathered in a box or washing basket and can include non-perishable food and Christmas gifts or other similar style items.
If you’re in need of some hamper filler ideas I’ve done the hard work for you:
• Milk
• Pasta and pasta sauce
• 2 Min Noodles
• Biscuits
• Christmas Bon Bons
• Custard
• Jelly
• Pudding or Cake
• Tin Fruit
• Tuna
• Taco Kit
• Lollies
• Crisps
• Tea and Sugar
• Tinned Veggies
Also, any toy donations will go to children of all ages. Toys or gifts for a variety of ages would be suitable, as would gifts for the mother of these families. Vouchers for movies, Timezone or even the grocery store would be greatly appreciated.
