Sue Collins gave the handicapper something to think about with a winning 44 points, while John Strelec topped the men’s field with 37 on a course freshened up by recent rain.
The fairways were looking greener, but the penalty areas were thankfully dry for those whose rounds included a little off-roading.
Collins finished four points clear of ladies’ runner-up Jacqui Wall on 40, with Paula McQuat next on 37.
Leanne Alexander and Anna Winterbourn returned 34 points, followed by Heather Luvis and Beryl Nosworthy on 30. Sally Little and Tessa Aitkin completed the rundown with 29 each.
Strelec had a closer contest, finishing one point ahead of Laurie Dakin on 36, with Ken Granger taking the next spot on 35.
Jim Sherrington, Craig McLean, Larry Muller and Gary Scotford each scored 33, while Peter Fox and Barry Mortimer returned 31. Ray Close rounded out the men’s results on 28.
Ladies’ A Grade pin shots went to Winterbourn, Elspeth Scotford and Luvis, with Wall, Kath Borer and Little collecting B Grade honours.
Muller, McLean and Granger claimed the men’s A Grade pins, while Trevor Paroz, Vic Feldman and Peter Lindsay took B Grade.
Alexander, Wall, Fox and Strelec all recorded chip-ins.
Kerrie Johannesen and Feldman received a ball each for the NAGAs, while Alexander also won the weekly raffle.
