Families, parents and carers gathered at Queens Park on Wednesday 9th September for Party in the Park, a free community event held during Child Protection Week.
The event provided an opportunity for parents and carers to connect in a relaxed outdoor setting while learning more about support services available throughout the Mackay community.
Children were kept entertained with a range of free activities, including face painting, jumping castles and a sausage sizzle, while parents and carers could enjoy a free coffee and connect with local support organisations.
Party in the Park formed part of Child Protection Week, which this year encouraged communities to turn conversations about child safety and wellbeing into action.
Held at Queens Park, the event brought families together for a morning of activities, connection and information in a welcoming community environment.
