The Airlie Beach Festival of Music is once again proving why it’s known as "The Ultimate Music Holiday," not just for its epic lineup, but for its deep roots and support within the Whitsundays community. As the town transforms into one giant stage, the festival is celebrating a year of unprecedented success.
This year, the festival has smashed all previous ticket sales and will deliver its biggest lineup yet. This success is directly tied to the festival’s flexible ticketing, opening up more ways for people to enjoy the music across 15 different local venues—from the Main Tent at the Whitsunday Sailing Club to vibrant main street pubs. This town-wide takeover ensures that local businesses, from restaurants to accommodation partners, feel the benefit of every single ticket sold.
Festival Founder and Director, Gavin Butlin, expressed his pride in the community spirit.
“It’s truly incredible. This festival started as an idea, and now it’s a destination event, drawing in thousands to experience the heart of live music, Airlie Beach."
“Seeing the venues packed, the local businesses thriving, and our residents embracing the crowds is what makes all the hard work worthwhile. The support from our local community and partners is the foundation of our success and ensures that this 'music holiday' remains sustainable and special for years to come,” Mr Butlin added.
With headliners like Pete Murray, Jessica Mauboy, and The Screaming Jets rocking the stages, the Airlie Beach Festival of Music is defying the odds, where world-class music meets the world’s most beautiful backyard.
