Four Mackay Rowing Club Masters competitors took on the world’s best at the 2026 World Rowing Masters Regatta, held on Lake Bled in Bled, Slovenia, from September 9th to 13th.
The small Mackay club recorded a number of strong results across the regatta, including two gold medals.
Therese Clancy claimed gold in the WG1x before teaming up with Jane Deguara to win gold in the WG2x.
Therese also recorded a third-place finish in the WF1x, while partnering with Richard McGrath to finish fourth in the Mixed F2x.
In the Mixed G2x, Therese and Lachlan McDonald finished second.
Mick Wohlfahrt and Lachy McDonald also secured a second-place finish.
The Mackay contingent added further podium finishes in the Mixed F4x, finishing third, while the Mixed G4x crew placed fourth.
The results marked a strong showing for the Mackay Rowing Club at an international masters event.
