Pupils from schools across the Whitsundays recently travelled to CQUniversity Mackay for the Year 12 QATSIF (Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foundation) Graduation on 11th August, celebrating the efforts, achievements and journeys of 2300 Year 12 QATSIF graduates.
It was a wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate the incredible efforts, achievements and journeys of 2,300 deadly Year 12 QATSIF graduates from across Queensland, and to wish them all the very best as they embark on the next stage of their journeys.
“We are incredibly proud of all three of our Emerging Leaders for representing our College at this special event,” said a representative from St Catherine’s Catholic College.
“Congratulations, Reef, Andrew and Brianna!
“We are particularly proud of Brianna, who was selected as co-MC for the event. Brianna did an incredible job helping to lead the celebrations and represent our college with confidence and pride.
“Wishing all of the 2026 QATSIF graduates every success, happiness and deadly opportunities for the future!”
Bowen State High School also congratulated their QATSIF graduates, sharing:
“The ceremony was even more special as our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students were invited to perform their contemporary dance from our NAIDOC Celebrations. They did an amazing job!
“Kala Auda also had the honour of lighting the Torres Strait Islander candle on behalf of the students.
“A special thank you to Michael and his QATSIF team for your amazing leadership and support for our students. Thank you to everyone that made the ceremony a great success.
A shout out to our deadly students for your dancing and support for your peers.”
