Mackay State High School celebrated a successful day at the 2026 T2S Barefoot Touch Carnival, with two teams competing throughout the event.
The school’s Traffic Cones team got the day off to a strong start, claiming victory in the Relay Race.
Supa Tuff Dudes then battled through the touch competition to reach the Grand Final, where they faced Northern Beaches State High School.
The Mackay State High School side secured the win to be crowned the 2026 T2S Barefoot Touch Carnival champions, bringing the shield back to the school.
Both teams represented Mackay High with pride, teamwork and great spirit throughout the day.
The school also thanked Mackay Youth Justice and the T2S team, particularly Hiali and Sophie, for putting together an enjoyable day for the young people involved.
