Well done to everyone that played Season 3 Morning and Evening Fixtures. Season 4 will commence on the 6th October and please contact Donna or Steve if your interested in being part of a team.
Evening Fixtures celebrated Finals night with Division 1: Cheetahs (Goncalo Serra, Allan Edwards, Janice Kent) defeating Jaguar (Mick Ruhl, Graeme Walker, Syed Hossain) 6-2, with no 5 set matches, Janice was to strong for Graeme (10,-9,2,10).
Division 2 was not so 1 sided Cod (Delma Knight, Steve Mathieson, Darryl Ross) snuck home 6-5 over Dolphins (Mark Stam, Ricky Zhan, Mark Bowerman), some very good matches but Steve fought back from 2 sets down to win an incredible 5 sets to beat Mark S (-3,-12,7,5,14).
Tuesday Morning players took part in the “Jan Meng Memorial Doubles Competition”, this is a fantastic doubles competition that combines all divisions together. The top ranked player teams up with the bottom ranked player, which means we always pair up with someone different. This year was very tough but a big Congratulations to George Camilleri and Sharon Muller getting home in the final against Judy Zahn and Coral Morgan (5,-10,6,4).
