Sometimes a photograph’s beauty lies not in the grandeur of the subject, but in the intricate details revealed by looking a little closer.
Michele Shea captured this week’s winning photograph with a beautiful close-up of a waterlily in bloom, bringing the flower’s delicate petals and natural symmetry into sharp focus. It is a peaceful, yet wildly beautiful frame that makes for a great example of this week’s “Macro” theme.
