Sarina will celebrate a significant milestone later this month with a community event recognising more than 250 years of combined history, creativity and local connection.
Sarina Community Arts & Crafts will host a triple birthday celebration on Saturday 29th August, marking 30 years of Sarina Arts & Crafts, 100 years of the Mt Pelion State School Building, and more than 120 years of the Old Sarina Courthouse and Watch House.
The celebration will be held at Railway Square, Field of Dreams, Sarina, from 9am, with official ceremonies, cake cutting and formalities taking place from 10.30am.
The event will celebrate the people, places and stories that have helped shape Sarina, with the volunteer-run Sarina Community Arts & Crafts group continuing to provide a space for local makers to share their creations.
Community members are invited to attend, reflect on Sarina’s rich history and enjoy a day of connection, creativity and celebration.
