130 boats converge for the 38th Airlie Beach Race Week
For six days, the waters surrounding Airlie Beach have become a playground of sails, speed and competition as one of the Whitsundays’ biggest weeks on the water takes over the region.
From strong winds and tight finishes to families cheering from spectator boats, the 38th Airlie Beach Race Week has brought plenty of action both on and off the water.
Crews battled their way around the islands by day before returning to a packed Whitsunday Sailing Club, where live music and a few well-earned drinks have kept Race Week going on land long after the sails came down.
