Independently Owned, Locally Grown, Community Loved
This old cruiser might have seen better days, but beneath a sky glowing orange and pink, it still has the power to captivate your attention.
Photographed on her family farm near Bowen, Alison Rayner’s winning image for the theme ‘Rust’ finds beauty in a familiar piece of rural life.
Rust has traced its way across the faded paintwork, giving the Toyota plenty of character, while the colours overhead echo the earthy tones of its weathered body.
Beyond the bonnet, open paddocks stretch towards the tree-lined horizon, giving this old farm companion quite the backdrop.
Congratulations to Alison for capturing a scene that shows a little rust can make a wonderful photograph. Next week’s theme is ‘Circular’, so keep an eye out for a fresh angle on something round!
Thank you once again to everyone in the Whitsundays Amateur Photographers Facebook group for sharing another wonderful collection of images.
